# Installing a Custom World

> Install premade or custom Minecraft worlds on your CraftLands server with step-by-step guidance for uploads, world selection, and activation.

## Using a Premade World

1. **Navigate to the World Manager**

   * Log in to your server's dashboard and open the **World Manager** section.

   * Browse or search for a premade world that fits your needs.

2. **Install the World**

   * Click **Install** next to the selected world to add it to your server.

3. **Restart the Server**

   * Restart your server to load the newly installed world.

## Uploading a Custom World

1. **Prepare the Custom World**

   * Ensure your custom world folder is ready and compatible with your server version.

2. **Upload the World**

   * Use an [SFTP](sftp) client to connect to your server.

   * Upload the custom world folder to the server's root directory.

3. **Match the Version**

   * Go to the **Version Changer** in your dashboard.

   * Ensure the selected version matches the version of your custom world.

4. **Restart the Server**

   * Restart your server to load the custom world.
