# Setting Up a Custom MOTD

> Learn how to customize your Minecraft server’s Message of the Day on CraftLands Hosting with easy text formatting, image embeds, and advanced options.

## How to Set Up a Custom MOTD

1. **Edit the Server Properties**

   * Open the **File Manager** and locate the `server.properties` file.

   * Find the `motd` field.

2. **Customize the MOTD**

   * Enter your desired message. 

3. **Save and Restart**

   * Save the file and restart the server to display the new MOTD.
