# Setting Up Your Server for the First Time

> Get your Minecraft server running after purchase with initial setup, version selection, and basic configuration steps.

## Setting Up Your Server for the First Time

1. **Select a Minecraft Version**

   * Navigate to the **Version Changer** and select your desired Minecraft version.

2. **Enable Basic Settings**

   * Customize settings like player slots, RAM allocation, and game mode in the **Settings** tab.

3. **Start the Server**

   * Click **Start** to initialize your server. Wait for the server to complete its setup process.

4. **Access the Console**

   * Use the **Console** tab to monitor the server logs and ensure everything is running correctly.
